      Pros

      Being a TA for department coordinated courses such as Calculus is great. Unstructured courses may allow you freedom on what you assign which can both be a positive or a negative depending on the course and instructor.

      Cons

      Similar to most TA positions the pay will be low. Math grad students typically have more students and have more work on their teaching responsibilities than other TA’s from what I have seen.
