      Pros

      The physical environment is pleasant - campus is beautiful. It is very nice to have time off (paid) during the holidays, and we have alot of exciting speakers, etc. that visit campus. It is also nice to feel you are having a positive impact on the lives of young adults.

      Cons

      The company does not pay it's employees a fair wage, there is only one program for recognizing positive staff contributions, and it is limited to honoring 10 people per year. Threre is very little opportunity for advancement.

      Pros

      Tulane tuition reimbursement. Tulane is a cultural hive and employees are always granted access. Tulane name has pull in New Orleans.

      Cons

      Boring work; no support for innovation; very little collaboration between departments; poor management skills displayed by immediate and ultimate supervisor.

      Pros

      Excellent benefits--good health care, flexible time off, and free classes. You also have access to discounted membership to the Reily Recreation Center, and access to the university libraries. The work environment is generally positive and supportive, with very few high stress positions.

      Cons

      There isn't a lot of room for advancement with a lot of the staff positions. The pay typically isn't as good as it is at universities in other cities, but this is probably the result of pay in New Orleans just being generally lower than other cities. Raises are given annually, but the percentage raise you get is pretty low.
