      Biomedical Engineering Department Graduate Student Experience

      professors invested in students lives, department helps find students funding through RA, TA, or fellowship opportunities, required to take medical school equivalent Anatomy course--one of the only ones in the country with a cadaver lab

      Cons

      Male-female faculty does not represent field (only 2 female faculty, neither have tenure), Research expectations depend on lab/advisor, some classes required for graduate students are entry level engineering classes

      Pros

      My boss is very creative and always has new projects for me to work on. Good routine, and they were able to set me up in a nice office.

      Cons

      I'm the first student employee this department has had and so it's been a disorganized process getting paid and access to all the systems I need.
