Pros
Good time off, benefits, and pay is meh but better than other employers in the field
Cons
The study I worked on was a disorganized mess (worked in the Office of Health Research). PI insisted on doing everything on paper so we had to enter everything 2-4x instead of just once. I was the only full time employee on the specific study I worked on and everybody was splitting their time between multiple studies. The systems we were using to enter data and manage participants were highly inefficient and over complicated. The PI was upset we weren't more productive in spite of her rules being the reason we were wasting all our time with data entry. The building I worked in was falling apart and working downtown was deeply depressing.
