Pros

Snacks, flexibility, people. The office is nice.

Cons

The company never had a clear vision. Picture it as this big beautiful shiny ship and the captain takes you everywhere but the proper route. It was always all over the place. Management is elitist. Workers will be asked for loyalty and utter devotion, but will be sacked when the salary becomes too much…or if you voice disagreement. The company will make you believe it is becoming public, CEO said that back in 2018-2019, still nowhere to be. If you like endless surveys about work, rest assured you will find that and it will go nowhere. From what I hear from former coworkers who are still there, perks and benefits have gone down the drain. Probably just a few years until the company sinks. If you are a white male, congrats, you will likely be the one promoted even if you don’t show any results.

Pros

I moved on from Turo awhile back, but I still look back at Turo with fondness. Andre has one of the biggest hearts of any CEO I have ever worked with. My manager was awesome, and never stressed me out, he would work late to QA for us. My team was amazing to collaborate with and super down to earth. I really loved this company. It had an amazing culture. I really became a way better engineer working here. Also great work life balance! My manager would tell me to revisit it tomorrow if I was working late (unless for the occasional crunch time). A lot of people have a long tenure here.

Cons

- I wish they had more offices since going to SF is a bit of a toll, and paying for parking/commuting costs - There can be a bit of bureaucracy to get a new feature in, and all it takes is one picky senior engineer to halt back new endeavors by a lot

Pros

Couldn't think of any, it is that bad to work here.

Cons

Product hasn't moved in 5 years. Code quality is terrible. Working one engineering teams will not do anything for your career move. The new CTO is incapable just like the previous one. Leadership is kool aid drinking club, all of them are irrelevant in today's economy. Please don't join here, it's not worth the mental hit.
