Pros

You are your own boss. You dictate when and how long you want work. You can choose to add hours at any time but must commit to a student for the rest of school year once you do which means you cant decrease hours. However, very easy to play around with schedule if you maintain a good relationship with family of child you are tutoring.

Cons

You have to submit daily reports on the tutor session which gets pretty tedious especially if you are working on strengthening a particular subject area or unit.

It's okay...for a foot in the door.

Pros

You can set your own schedule, and accept or turn down clients depending on if you think they're a good fit or not.

Cons

You aren't paid for any work you do outside of tutoring. 6 You don't get reimbursed for gas mileage, and if you drive a lot, it's not going to break even.
