Great way to stay sharp

Pros

It's a professional setup - as a tutor, you have the backing and protection of a big company. Over 90% of my sessions are outsourced from colleges and universities and that suits me just fine. It's a lot easier to just get down to work when both the tutor and student don't have to watch the clock as closely. Once you get out of the probationary period, it's a great way to stay sharp and make a bit of money in your spare time.

Cons

The layers of anonymity surrounding everything is often frustrating. The company is too afraid of tutors running away with their students or unionizing. I found pay and schedule availability for Excel/Word to be poor, but both are much better with Finance or Accounting.

Pros

You can manage your own schedule and work from home whenever you want. The pay is fine for what this jos implies.

Cons

work decreases from June to August

Pros

You get to choose which subjects you want to tutor, and you get to choose when you want to tutor. It's very flexible, and you get to pick what works best for you. There's a hierarchy system within the company that makes sure each tutor has a real specific person to go to when he/she has questions, and the quality of the work done by tutors is reviewed often to ensure quality.

Cons

There is a limit to how many hours you can work - but it was intended as a part-time job anyway.
