Pros

The only good things were the insurance, pay, time off, and time spent on the road with the men and women that actually did the work.

Cons

Working directly for the District Engineer and dealing with upper management. Upper management does not know the first thing about how to run a successful safety program, or anything else for that matter.

Pros

Very good agency with great benefits. Very flexible with leave and appreciates their employees. The benefits are second to non and out weigh the level of stress that comes with the job.

Cons

Very demanding job with high stress levels. Work does not slow down and you have to operate at a very fast pace. You get calls after hours and your work phone is constantly getting important emails and calls even on your days off.
