TxDOT is a great Organization with great benefits. I enjoyed my tenure there. There is great work life balance and wellness is a key initiative. While you are their you are a part of a great family.

Cons

After a certain level and you love your area of expertise there can be limited career opportunities.

Cons

If you are ambitious, do not come here. Financially, not rewarding, you will be making the same amount of money for several years and you learn nothing new. This is a great job for people close to retirement or people who want to coast in their careers
