Pros

The salary is the same - no matter where you live, so that can be a plus if you live in a low income area. The travel is extreme, so you will rack up the frequent flyer miles, hotel points, and rental car credits.

Cons

If you don't negotiate an extremely competitive salary when you start with Tyler - don't rely on any type of reward based salary increase. 3% is the standard every year, no matter the performance evaluation. Also - they tend to restructure the bonus "incentive" plan every 3 years so that it's more and more difficult to reach the upper tiers. There is not an advantage to being more experienced, ALL consultants get the same plan, whether 3 months into the game, or 15 years into it. No rewards for longevity at this company.

Pros

Company culture is great as well as the people. Management seems genuinely interested in the happiness of their customers. Vacation and other benefits are excellent, since the company deals with government entities, if the government is off it pretty much guarantees you'll have the day off too.

Cons

work can be a bit dry depending on your position, but if you dont like your work there seems to be a lot of room for growth and promotion within the company for things your interested in.

None. The company does an outstanding job in all core areas and there are no areas i can think of for improvement.
