      Some Opportunity Mixed with Growing Pains

      Pros

      It is a growing company with a client base in education and government - two groups that will never go away. Many departments have a flexible work schedule. Offices are run well and cubes are a decent size.

      Cons

      Many managers are technical people rather than people people and have not had training in managing people, growing people, or goal setting, so the employee experience can be very different depending on the department.

      Pros

      Good benefits, health insurance, 401k, and employee stock purchase plan. Management is poor, but many of your coworkers will be friendly.

      Cons

      This is a disorganized company. Tyler is a conglomerate of many small companies that have been acquired and made into one company. The organization is full of political challenges due to the fact that this is several companies that have been merged into one. Some managers are very overbearing and belittle employees. Some managers belittle employees when they were not around.

      Good working environment. Most mangers are very people-oriented and treat employees with respect.

      Cons

      Salary structure too often tied to difficult goals. Some employees are given many assignments and have no problem making bonus, but others are not so lucky.
