Pros

The job has flexible scheduling and it also has good benefits and it also has good advancement opportunities and some relocation opportunity.

Cons

The job had very very long days, Overtime is only compensated at 25% of pay, bad hierarchy, too much is based on seniority and not on past experience or production.

Pros

- Great way to get involved with federal law enforcement - Excellent Federal benefits (Health, Dental, Retirement, etc) - Flexible work schedules and Telework (for eligible positions) - Career Advancement (Many career ladder positions that non-competitively promote to the GS-12 level) - Many different career opportunities within the agency

Cons

- Management does not communicate with its employees enough - Too many meetings behind "closed doors"

Pros

Within my division, I am appreciated for my work, I am given some decent level of work/life balance and I am able to put my ideas forward without fear of reprisal.

Cons

The overall senior leadership could benefit from a course in open communication, if such a course exists. Leaders are not as engaged as is necessary to get the most out of their employees. Most of the senior leaders are afraid of their own leaders. Their direction to us is based on that fear - not truly free to think on their own.
