- extremely flexible hours - excellent benefits package - staff is approachable and helpful - friendly working environment - job security

because of the high level of security, a lot of time is spent getting set up and cleared before you can start working

Pros

Most of the people are nice. Working environment has little to no pressure. Lack of direction and lack of work means stress free environment

Cons

Some age old GSA veterans(mainly women, sorry but it is true) are frustrated and freely vent their emotions on others. People just dont seem to know their stuff, their roles and responsibilities. The managers are laid back and are essentially have their eyes on retirement constantly.

Pros

Consistent promotions that I can count on at this point, job security, good health benefits, retirement plan, they pay for my public transportation

Cons

Even if you do a stellar job (anywhere in the government) you can only be promoted up one grader per year.
