Management could care less about employee satisfaction and actually protect some of the slim ball executive directors. Of course, most upper management are good ol boy thugs from the hood who got their online graduate degrees. VERY SAD, the original CEO and founder has good intentions but is ready to retire and clueless about what is REALLY going on.

There was an unfortunate lack of worklife balance. We would often have to attend "volunteer" events during off hours, without flexing time. Working lunches were common place at the shelter, but lunches were potlucks, so staff would have to pay to feed an additional 20 people at the office. As a shelter, we were open everyday, but unfortunately, when another staff member called out, other staff would have to cover their shifts. The sister site at Barbers point seemed to have pretty good management of staff, but our location seemed to have high turnover.
