Pros

The brand name and reputation were decent for a long time. European business was decent.

Cons

The extensive European office network was able to create unrealistic demands on research in London.

Pros

Compensation is pretty much on par with other IB banks out there. It's a Swiss bank, another plus (although it was no secret about the bad publicity with the bank and US citizens abroad and tax issues). Bright and competitive MBA-ers from all the top schools.

Cons

You work here, and you're going to know very quickly if you don't, your days will be numbered. Hours are long, but that goes for any IB.
