Pros

1. Great learning opportunities - UBS is an ocean when it comes to financial services. One has opportunies to work in asset management, wealth management, investment banking, corporate advisory, equity research, etc. 2. Diverse culture - the people at UBS are from all over the world, giving you insights into the various cultures and encouraging you to relocate to different parts of the world, expanding your horizons.

Cons

1. Poor recognition from senior management - this is a recent phenomenon, probably linked to change in cluture at UBS of getting quick wins than establishing long-term productivity 2. Poor work-life balance - again something recent. More stress on what we can do for UBS than the other way around.

Pros

Good work/life balance for the most part. If you're prepared to stick your neck out then you have got the opportunity to work on some interesting projects, but you really have to be a self starter.

Cons

Management is quite weak across the board. Tough decisions are usually avoided where ever possible. Political correctness and mind games are rife and an the bank shows a complete inability to sack useless people really who drain the energy and morale of all around them.

Pros

Great place to work, great team, great culture. UBS has a unique atmosphere as an Investment Bank, and a culture that promotes a good work-life balance. The IT team is a valued part of the organisation, and from an IT perspective UBS promotes the use of industry best practice tools and approaches. UBS has an industry leading career development and career review process which is taken extremely seriously by management, and rewards and promotions are based on merit with a fair and transparent process to back them up.

Cons

Currently undergoing some tough times (as at June 2008), but UBS Investment Bank has good fundamentals and a strong leadership team, so the business and will definitely bounce back strongly as the market recovers.
