Pros

Wonderful Colleagues. The best thing about working here are my staff colleagues. Truly great people who care about supporting students.

Cons

The administrators are constantly looking to take over space. If it's not a research lab or something dedicated to the school of medicine, it seems to be up for grabs to give to academic units for labs. really bad staff support. people seem to leave in droves.

What happened to remote work?

Pros

When I started, remote work was absolutely valued for people with desk jobs and zero external facing opportunities. People were hired as 100% remote.

Cons

Once the new VC of University Advancement started, that went right out the window. Now we have to work remote in what is still a ghost town and we have to find unused offices for the Zoom meetings we would otherwise have at home. It is beyond stupid.
