      Execellent benefit package for people who have been working here for quite some time.

      I am very glad to have a job in this economy even though I, like others, worry about funding situations in our department.

      Pros

      Benefits, stable position and salary, invests in the employee if you stay long. This is a great place to work if you have a family and are looking for something for the long-term. Things only get better with age here.

      Cons

      A bit of the lazy public employee feel, if you have a bad supervisor it's hard to change, can be a bit dry. If you are young and looking for a dynamic place to work it can be hard to find, but it is possible depending on the department. Bureaucracy rules here.
