Pros

The people at the lab are nice people to work with. Leaders are friendly and helpful, and can help with obtaining grants and/or fellowships. The lab has a great location in south campus, right past the life science building. Not too far from dorms, is easily within walking distance. Plenty of food options nearby. Good starting place to build connections and meet people that can later help with references. Labs and surrounding area are always clean. Students can have working hours scheduled around their courses.

Cons

Work can get sort of repetitive, but as long as you're working on an exciting project it should be okay.

Cons

small fish, big pond. lots of red tape, and postdocs/graduate students here are not treated with respect while financially it's a big disappointment. expect low pays.

Pros

Woking at UCLA, I was proud because it is top 10 hospital in the nation. The best thing about this place is just the "name"

Cons

Incompetence chief therapist (RG). In terms of radiation therapist, this is an multi-ethic team, but it is hard to grow in the department as a minority. The department is really run by an associate chief (DA), not by the real chief. Also, the lowest pay in the industry except for the managments.
