Pros

Incredible access to cutting edge research. Everyone there loves what they do. Low teaching load allows for effective development of research program.

Cons

It's a great place to work but the furloughs are tough though. With as good as a reputation as UCLA has the undergraduate students can be a bit of a let down talent/work ethic - wise.

Pros

A lot of nice courses provided, many interesting research projects, and nice professors to give suggestions about research. The campus is great.

Cons

Some industrial projects are long and boring. Some courses are difficult. The RA/TA positions are hard to get. Living cost is high in LA.

Pros

friendly work environment, especially if you are lgbt. everyone who works there are caring, which is a plus. not a bad student job.

Cons

too much discussion about people's emotions. sometimes, time is spent ineffectively. they make you do a lot of busy work.
