Great benefits, good people, poor management

Pros

The benefits are great. If you live in the city, they have shuttles from just about everywhere in town, making your commute pretty easy. And, most of the people you work with are going to be nice, decent people. Once you're in, you're set. You can leave for 20 minutes every two hours to move your car and no one bats an eye.

Cons

Plain and simple: the bureaucracy. There are so many layers of management and so little communication between them. And, you wonder why the hospital even needs half the managers when one of them can leave for a month and everything keeps on ticking. Lastly, and this may have been limited to my manager, but their was absolutely zero guidance or assistance.

Pros

With over 40,000 employees, there is lots of great opportunities for movement within the organization.

Cons

At the time, they didn't have consistent PM processes and procedures across the infrastructure team so expectations were difficult to manage.
