Pros

A very diverse group of workers who all care very much and hope that what they do makes a difference in someone's life. whether it is a researcher, someone who cooks, or someone who takes care of patients. everyone here care very much.

Cons

Management has no idea what a great resource they have in their employee's. Workers go above and beyond on a daily basis and are never recognized for their performances or their efforts. Management is concerned with one thing and one thing only the Bottom LINE and that's it. It is a shame too. Ask ay patient care worker what happens when the State comes in for inspection. Ohh the halls are clear, because they put all the spare equipment and beds that usually clutter the hall in the Garden St warehouse or in a semi-truck until the inspection if over and then it's clutter and hazard again in the hallways. Oh don't get hurt at UCSF because they will string you along with BS until you give up on your injury and suffer. UCSF's motto is BS. Caring, NOT Healing Not of employees.

Pros

The benefits are great, the staff are passionate about what we do - there's a sense of pride in being among the top here.

Cons

Not enough staff, the administrators make decisions - about staffing, especially - that reflect that they have been out of clinical practice for too long and have become overly concerned with short-term profit goals. Clinical care suffers because of it, which hurts patients and our reputation. Pay and other things, like parking and seniority, are not as good as most other places, like Kaiser.

Pros

The staff are well educated, work hard, and do their best with the limited resources that are provided.

Cons

Understaffed regularly, stressful work environment, high staff turn over, and out of touch senior management that seems more concerned about their profit margin and bonuses than supporting patient care.
