Pros

Dedicated, smart colleagues. Good pay, outstanding benefits. Nearly everyone believes in the mission of providing outstanding care for some of the most difficult cases.

Cons

The health system now seems more focused on growth and finances than on people and the UCSF mission. New leadership styles include screaming at people in meetings. PRIDE values? No longer. And if you're not a clinician, UCSF doesn't seem to believe in training people to do their jobs... you're just expected to figure it out. Managers in particular get no training and no support.

Pros

Great compensation, pension, amazing tax advantage 401k accounts, healthcare, all kinds of life/disability insurances

Cons

Physically taxing, management not always in a rush to make changes, a lot of supervisors who we aren't sure what they are even doing or why they are here.
