Turning against remote work

Pros

Competitive salaries, pension plan, smart and motivated co-workers

Cons

UCSF has recently turned pretty blatently anti-remote-work, at least in IT and the Epic teams, after allowing people to move out of state in the pandemic. As a result, experienced staff are leaving. Not sure how much is coming from the CEO or from UCOP, but the morale is low

Pros

Provides state of art care. The nursing care is second to none.

Cons

The executive director is very difficult to work with and has a tyrannical leadership style. She is very demanding and inconsistent. She tells you to do one thing and then changes the story. It seems as if she may not know what she is doing. She can't keep managers.
