Beyond Solid Starting Position
Pros
I think that working at UFHealth/UF has a ton of benefits. The amount of PTO/Sick leave you accrue is extremely high, the retirement and medical benefits are among the best you can possibly find due to it being a government job. The vast majority of the people I work with and people I support have been very nice which is huge bonus. The benefits like 6 credits of free tuition once you pass 6 months, free IT Training through Linkedin Learning, Microsoft Azure, and IT TVPRO are great ways to upskill yourself.
Cons
Having to pay for parking really does suck when I feel employees should get it for free, to grow from this role you can go to a lvl 3 and then you have to leave the department which sucks if you like your team, being medical adjacent it makes hurricanes and stuff like that weird middle ground and have you not know if you need to report in to work or not. A lot of people that have been in the org for a long time get a little jaded and work to get their paycheck and go home which kinda sucks from an inspiration standpoint.
