Thank you so much to you, and all of UL’s essential workers, that continue to work in our labs to ensure products and services remain safe for consumers around the world. This is always at the core of UL’s mission, and all the more important now, when so many are spending more time in their homes. In these unprecedented times of COVID, like all companies, UL is doing its best to make decisions keeping both employee safety and business continuity in mind. We have asked any employees who can work from home to do so, strictly in an effort to limit unnecessary exposure. Our dedicated employees who work in our lab environments need to be onsite in order to complete their work, which are deemed essential services. We continue to provide the necessary protective gear and have been conducting additional sanitizing and cleaning of all working spaces and lab environments. In the location you reference, we have purposefully blocked off the cubicle/office section of the building so that the cleaning service can spend additional time sanitizing the lab and common areas. UL has provided meal stipends, additional sick leave and continues to work hard to preserve salaries and jobs.
