Pros

People are pleasant to work with and the environment is nice. Students are great, co-workers are great, too. You get some education benefits.

Cons

Everyone pays for parking, which is expensive. You are not eligible for benefits right away, which the university does NOT reveal until after hiring. Pay raises are miniscule, and unless you're a high-level administrator or full professor, the pay sucks. The university does not care about its workers.

Toxic work place

Pros

Flexible hours, okay pay, and not very stressful.

Cons

Very toxic work place where everyone support each other based on favoritism and personal relations. It's like being in high school in a drama movie where all the management and leadership acts like the mean girl. Students are the least important part for that place.
