Pros

Great place to work. Lots of interesting assignments that give you a great deal of responsibility and experience.

Cons

Interns are not paid, which makes living in New York quite challenging. I had to find an outside scholarship to fund my three months at UNDP.

Cons

- high bureaucracy - low-impact projects - programs have limited affects on local communities - advising stays within high-level officials who do not transfer knowledge, skills, and values to their constituents
