      Pros

      Company culture was great before Albertsons acquisition. Senior management cared about the rank and file. Employees were treated with respect.

      Cons

      It changed dramatically after the Albertsons acquisition and more so after the divesture. A tremendous amount of work required on those employees that remained. No incentives were given to maintain morale – with minimal to no pay raises; pensions were frozen because they” improved” the 401k plan – but then they took away the company 401k match.

      Pros

      Tuition Reimbursement program available to all employees after probationary period. A green company that cares about its environmental impact. Typically open management positions are given to internal candidates after interviewing.

      Cons

      Salary for office is sub-par for the market. Benefits have gone down hill over the last several years but still competitive for whats on the market. The company being a warehouse often makes policies based off that part of the business with little to no consideration to office associates. Management and associates workload is often extreme and unmanageable.

      Good people at store level.

      Cons

      New management strategy is not working. Only answer is to get rid of people and keep hammering unsuccessful strategy. Sales are down, customer count is down, customer service scores are down, and gross profit is down.
