Pros

Benefits and pay are average/good depending on your specific job, facilities are clean and orderly. If you like Unions, Teamsters is the union at SuperValu

Cons

Everything looks good about this place in the beginning which is what attracted me to Supervalu...but then, once you're there for a few weeks/months you see the layers of wierd politics and management is very passive aggressive, the union here is worthless...I don't recommend buying into the idea that you are being represented/protected here. Management loves to write people up here and document any little mistake because of the union politics...be prepared to bite your tongue a lot here if you choose to work here.

Pros

Some of the best people I have had the privilege of working with and for.

Cons

Becoming very corporate and top-heavy in pay and benefits. Sadly, wasn't always that way and the employees working the line were once truly appreciated and compensated.

Pros

Weekly pay, decent benefits, private brand discounts, company has returned to profitability

Cons

The company expects you to give them everything and gives you very little in return. Poor performers are promoted while the people who work hard are just given more work with no promotion/raises. The office looks like something out of 1980, with leadership and attitudes to match. When processes are questioned, people just shrug and say "that's the way we've always done it." The office is also dusty and moldy, so people are constantly coughing and sneezing. The CEO is tone deaf and doesn't seem to realize that not everyone makes a CEO salary.
