Pros

benefit package was great and number of stores available to work at all over united states.

Cons

disconnected from stores because of too many formats. some stores they were clueless what was really happening as far as company policies in regards to how people were promoted. in too much debt and sold off stores very quickly if they are not profitable.

Pros

Relative to other companies, SVU's compensation packages are extremely competitive. Additionally, in my experience management was very open to bottom-up ideation, despite the rather hierarchical nature of the organization.

Cons

Extremely and overly consensus-based. Decisions-by-committee, which made the process of enacting any sort of change or action very bogged-down and bureaucratic.
