The Deli job was a physical workout that ended up feeling good.

Pros

I worked the deli, respected and like the Deli Manager, and had a good experience learning more about the food and the industry.

Cons

Lack of full time hours, rush to help customers verses time to get everything right, a lot of distance between local and corporate, not a lot of communication with the union in my 3 months there, it can be a challenge to keep standards up when it is busy, not much of an employee break space, difficult to see expired food go to waste, balancing a sufficient and winning stock strategy against the problem of shrinkage due to perishing food.

Company prestige, compensation anf that's it. It's a top 500 company but a lot of hidden issues and agendas.

Cons

Local banner issues, lack of fairness and transparency in sr management. you never know what's going to happen next. They are phenomenal with the hoodwinking.

Good company to get your foot in the door to gain experiance. You can move up fast if you put your mind, time, and effort into it

Cons

Senior leadership tends to micromanage. Office people lose touch with how hard it can be to make customers happy. Don't spread the wealth in terms of bonuses you get put in the wrong store you can get screwed.
