      Pros

      Flexible hours...workday is 8-4:30 but if you need to do something during the day or need to adjust your hours, it can be done if your total work hours amount to 8 in a day Reasonable salary usuaaly apid midrange Tolerable working conditions- nice offices, individual cubicals Work independence for the most partnoone looking over your shoulder all day

      Unnecssary and unproductive meetings Difficulty getting time off usually due to lack of staffing Unknowlegable managers who rely on experience nurses to provide information on 'rules' Nepotism, people are usually promoted based on their frindships or physical appearance

      Health benefits & free schooling.

      Cons

      Poor management, wanton neglect, discrimination, unfair pay, immense disrespect, lack of communication with coworkers (mostly outside of your department), ungrateful staff, unbalanced schedules, constant short-staffed issues, no acknowledgement for the heavy amount of work that gets done, petty reasons to fire people, no union, and numerous other problems I can't even continue to add.

      The people I worked with were incredible and the managers treated me with the utmost respect at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center

      I can not think of any thing that would be considered a con. I enjoyed my time at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center
