      Pros

      The nurses and staff are absolutely amazing. The hardest-working, most-caring people you will ever meet. They made the long shifts worth it.

      Cons

      Management does not care about their employees. Overworked, underpaid. They only care about patient numbers, but even then are cutting corners for patient care. I wouldn't send my family to this hospital.

      Pros

      Coworkers and immediate supervisors are pleasant to work with. Not really expected to work outside of 9-5.

      Cons

      Higher ups complain about retention, and are willing to try anything except compensation. Seems like money is tight when it's time to give out raises, but there's plenty when it comes time to buy $2,000,000,000 hospitals. Employee appreciation generally consists of a 30 second video message from the CEO.

      To not be unemployed. Literally that’s it.

      Cons

      Manager is a total nut case. Overworked. Underpaid and never appreciated. Their on call system is outdated and it burns you out fast. Don’t work here. Don’t even be a patient here. Bad healthcare and poorly run and has been since before it was UPMC
