Pros

Work life balance, the ability to work flexible hours.

Cons

Salary is very very low. Management keeps lower rung people out of the loop. Company is siloed, people cannot tell you what goes on in other parts of UPS. Strictly follow the process, if you don't, you get corrected immediately. Growth is not easily achieved, you have to navigate your own path and look outside of your group. Not enough work to fill a 40 hour work week. This might be the product of working in a Georgia work environment. Job is not fast paced compared to the northeast.

Pros

Pay, Benefits and vacation time.

Cons

I worked for UPS-SCS for a 6-9 month internship in Louisville, KY. The upper management is very disconnected from the regular working employees. Each account is different. The upper management unfairly treated me by forcing me to volunteer for 6 hours when I could have gotten overtime pay. Additionally, they do not teach you anything. It is expected that you learn everything on your own. Upper management also allowed their employees to yell and cuss at them. They would not set up disciplinary action for those employees and would allow them to run over the Supervisors. The culture is full of negativity, anger, and dissatisfied employees.

Pros

Strong Brand, but based on competition that may change soon.

Cons

Dated policies and procedures that hamper productivity and increase frustration. Union contracts are very powerful so the only way to bridge the gap is to push down on management. The supervisor position is the worse position in the company. I you cannot be hired as a Manager then take the OMS Specialist Position. They are paid hourly and you get overtime for working later than 8 hours.
