Good company and benefits, very poor management, below average pay.

The benefits at UPS are very good. You contribute less than the average company.

Cons

Below average starting pay for the area. There is NO room for advancement though I was told that there way. Don't expect to get any raises either. I waited more than a month to get a computer after I started and then had to wait another week to get email. There processes are EXTREMELY outdated and there is a lot of wasted paper and time. Training is not existent. There are also a lot of problems with payroll. Even with direct deposit, you sometimes don't get paid at all or you are missing part of your check. Happened to me an average of once a month.

The autonomy and responsibility of the group I was in while we were a subsidiarity and how close knit we were, even though nested inside one of the world's largest corporations

Cons

need to value truthful, objective and even critical communication, allow all employees at all levels to truly feel empowered, to know they have a valued voice and role within the corporation.

Benefits are great Type of work in interesting People on the floor are good Work schedule in good

Cons

Management team think they are only ones that know anything but depend on the people to tell them what they need to know instead of spending time on floor. They sit in the front office demanding information. Don't know what the jobs on the floor really require of an employee.
