      Get rid of the Teamsters in the office or face disasterous results the next time the Teamsters decide to strike.

      Pros

      Once they are able to eliminate the Teamsters from the office environment at 7 of their current locations in the United States will UPS-SCS have more control over how it promotes people based on merit and not senority.

      My full time job was reduced to part-time due to the Teamsters returning to our office.

      Pros

      Excellent benefits and a schedule that is often flexible to the commute.

      Cons

      Salary is usually around 3-5 percent below market. Employee raises are sluggish. The constant structural changes and senior management repositioning makes it difficult, if not impossible, to plan in the long term. Because of this, relationships aren't valued or pursued because no one is invested in the long term. No employee mentoring, as there is no long term benefit to groom someone for an ever changing org chart.
