Pros
It's a stable job, and there are some opportunities for travel. It's an awesome place to work if you have children and need the benefits. There are a lot of great people to work with, and you can receive excellent and valuable training for when you rejoin the civilian world. The Air Force has job opportunities you can not find anywhere else.
Cons
Respect is more attached to pay-grade than to humanity. You give up a lot of rights. A grand majority of jobs are gradually being contracted out. There is such a huge bureaucracy once you start getting into the higher ranks. This is definitely not a place I would recommend if you value individuality, free thinking, personal expression, and making a difference.
