      Pros

      On the job training. You get a lot of vacation time each year. Cheap healthcare is a plus. You can travel the world.

      Cons

      on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. getting called into work in the middle of the night for unimportant things. getting bullied by bosses and senior leadership just because they can.

      Pros

      The people and training in the Air Force are second to none. I am confident in my abiities to execute the task whether I am the one receiving the task or giving the task. I know that when I hand off an assignment to someone else that it will be done with excellence.

      Cons

      The Air Force has not done a good job in projecting future manning requirements in the past 10 years which has led to repeated occurences of reduction in force efforts for both enlisted and officer personnel. This has put an undue stress on the Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard to fill active duty AEF manning requirements in some cases for 6+ months every two years.

      Pros

      The camaraderie in the USAF is lower than in the Army or Marines, but it is still there - especially when one deploys. The synergy is an awesome site to witness when the "big machine" cranks up.

      Cons

      Like with all branches of the military, "the needs of the military come first" even though they "say" they are focused on work/life balance.
