Great opportunity but lots of work

Pros

The Army gave me a place to go other than college. They put a roof over my head, gave me free healthcare, and trained me from the ground up for my new job. I have been able to work with many different people in many different specialties, and I have learned so much.

Cons

The work-life balance is very poor. Many senior leaders abuse the fact that you are on call 24/7. Many late nights doing tasks that could be completed the next day. It is also very difficult to chose your own career path because at the end of the day what you leadership says is final.
