      Pros

      The Army affords young individuals the ability to lead Soldiers. Serving as an Army officer is a great way to take on a great deal of responsibility despite having little experience. As an Army officer young men and woman can influence the lives of other in a fast pace environment.

      Cons

      You have to be away from your family for longs stretches of time. Individuals will have an extremely hard time influencing change in an organization as large and the Army.

      It is what you make of it.... Excellent Opportunities, Excellent Benefits. We all pray and hope that the Retirement distribution of income remains the same and does not change.

      Cons

      Very challenging and demanding on personal and family life, however the overall benefits and availability for promotion and career enhancement are plentiful.

      Pros

      Travel the world and get paid for it. Learn new things that you would have never thought you would learn in life. Your career is in your hands, all you have to do is want it.

      Cons

      Sometimes having multiple bosses telling you to get something done but with occasional different ideas as to what time frame or the manner in which it needs to be done is a little confusing, but with time, you learn to know each of them and how they work so that accomplishing the mission is much easier than before.
