Pros

When you deploy into a combat zone, there is no need to spend money on daily needs. You are able to save 90 percent of your income you make for the current year. You will have an avberage of 20,000-25,000 cash when you return home from a 12-15 months deployment. However, deployments are very stressful. Experience many struggles and hardships through out the year you are gone. The money you are able to save is worked hard for.

Cons

The Infantry is not a family friendly carrer. You will spend weeks at a time in harsh trainning conditions away from home. It is a stressful carrer.

Pros

Offers great benefits and until the government starts chipping away, the retirement package is awesome. Education benefits can almost not be beaten. Great opportunity to mentor and direct the professional lives of juniors.

Cons

Promotions are not equitable, based on slots. Unfortunately, some jobs have more slots at higher levels than others so some offer better promotion opportunities than others. Autocracy is what is is, and sometimes the restraints are cumbersome.
