Pros

The work that the census does is important to establish rods, hospitals, schools, etc..

Cons

The people they hire are mostly ex-military/Veterans. I’m a Vet and appreciate the opportunity but so many of the employees think they’re still on active duty. My boss was a total pervert and hit on any woman with a pulse. Most of the people were very unprofessional and had affairs with other coworkers. It was a joke to work there and extremely toxic work environment

Pros

You can make your own schedule. Depending on why you are working for the Census, it can be a meaningful job.

Cons

The phone app did not work. They assigned the tasks and while I was going to all the houses and working hard, I could never make the bonus.
