Pros

Mainly relaxed atmosphere, flexible working environment*, friendly people, good benefits

Cons

Work dramas, some may not have proper knowledge of work but might be sticking around due to seniority/veteran status, flexible working environment as long as hour is close to 9-to-5, requires extensive background checking, might not get paid as much as you would like.

Pros

Good opportunities to try out temporary and seasonal work before accepting long-term employment. Great on-the-job training and information. Friendly coworkers in a like-minded environment.

Cons

Virtually no availability of permanent or long-term positions, even for people with experience. This has been a prevalent problem of federal government work in recent years.
