Pros

Constant company morale boosting. Important feedback and constructive criticism constantly given. Friendly work environment.

Cons

Currently a lot of uncertainty due to the merger with Sysco. Expectations can be sometime unrealistically high. The departments tend to work against each other rather than with each other.

Pros

At the division level, US Foods is clean, organized, professional, fun, and focused on the items that can drive sales forward and differentiate the company from Sysco, PFG, Etc...The benefits are equal to or better than competitors...

Cons

The changes that constantly flow down from Corporate are Pros and Con. Don't get me wrong, the company has made some very smart moves (Technology) that will set it up well for success in the future. But, they need to back down on the constant series of changes and initiatives. (For example: the Sales Force is critically important to company success, yet they spend 75% of their time dealing with "weekly changes", "weekly initiatives", "weekly reports", "weekly training", and "weekly yackity-yak...when the truth is that they need to spend 75% of the time with customers and 25% of the time on all that periphery stuff.)

Pros

I made great money and enjoyed working hard in the non union warehouse. I had very few bad nights and the 6th day was only mandatory every fifth week.

Cons

I'm in a union warehouse now where you can be forced to work 6 nights a week, no matter what your original schedule. If you can't make it, you get a write up. You get paid $10/hr less and can't make plans on your day off. Oh, and this warehouse will be shut down with the merger. Yup, I'll be transferring as soon as I can break my lease.
