Pros

The pay and benefits are descent if you ever make full time carrier. Being outside delivering mail with no supervision is also a plus.

Cons

Need a nonstop work ethic. Hardly any time to fit in a break, especially during the holidays when mail volume is high. Little or no praise for a job well done from management.

Pros

USPS offer good hourly pay, due to the union.

Cons

Union for Rural Carriers is in management's back pocket. Management treats you like you are less then human. Teamwork does not exist. Everyone is out for themselves.(Management, co-workers, etc.) You only receive hourly pay until you make full time regular, last person that made regular took 10 years.
