Pros

Decent pay. Working outside and basically on your own. Helpful and supportive colleagues. More than enough hours if you want them. Good start into what could be a great career. Not all bad especially once you get in your groove and learn the shortcuts and fine-tune your time management. After 90 days, you can lock down your own route and really become familiar with it which minimizes your stress by giving you some stability.

Cons

Micromanagement taken to a new level. No matter how good you did today, you are expected to do better tomorrow...seriously. Training is ample but expect to hit the ground running. Any mistakes expect to get yelled at (literally) and usually documented. If you stress under time constraints, this is not the job for you. Management rolls all the stress and negativity down to the supervisors, to the regular letter carriers, then ends up on the CCA's. Deflection and finger-pointing is synonymous with the USPS. Expect to work 7 days a week sometimes for 3 or 4 weeks in a row with no day off. Safety is important but you will be pushed to the limit with often times an unreasonable amount of deliveries with time allotted. Bouncing between routes.
