Pros

The employees here are nice and helpful. Depending on your department and manager, some are flexible with your time and may allow you to work remotely depending on your circumstances.

Cons

Lower end of pay scale. Very few people receive bonuses. The people who management like will most likely receive bonuses. If you are not favored by management then I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a raise or bonus. High turnover rate.

Very Dissatisfied

Pros

Offered OK benefits Vacation time starts at 3 weeks in your first year Several paid holidays, including Christmas Eve and Black Friday

Cons

Unrealistic expectations from management Managers would dock you for working overtime, not taking a lunch break, or not getting your work completed by the time you were scheduled to leave. This policy was NOT adjusted when work load was heavier. Management had WAY too much micro-managing going on. This was so much of a problem that it got in the way of efficiency and completing tasks on time. No growth potential.

It's a grind

Pros

They have flex hours. 2 more holidays than most companies. Staff teams all worked well together and got along. They pay pretty well.

Cons

The book size they expect Account Managers to service is almost double the industry average because the only thing USI looks at is the bottom line. They don't take in to account the complexity or "neediness" of each client. If you can't work fast and work late frequently, it's tough to get all your work done. Also, the Sales Reps are allowed by management to make ridiculous/unattainable promises to clients instead of sticking to established procedures. There are a number of Sales Reps in the Irvine office who are incredibly difficult to work with; micromanagers, poor communication skills, condescending (you're my personal secretary). There is no formal training program, so you should already know what you're doing, or you will struggle.
