UST Medical Coder II reviews

After laying off 251 employees 5 days before Christmas last year, UST said we have nothing to worry about because our jobs were safe. Nine months later they laid off another 69 employees. I'm sure they told the remainder employees not to worry but I suggest you look for another job now because your day will be coming too. They are hiring people from India for a much lower pay rate. So everyone will eventually be replaced. So sad!

Medical Coding side was bought by UST 2 years ago from Advantasure, and they have TANKED it ever since. Promising clients things no medical coding dept could deliver and then when it couldn't happen, client pulled out, so they fired over half the dept, nothing the coders did wrong. Set up to fail from the start. Shifting all positions to India, entire upper management team is Indian, so not really a surprise. Outdated coding system compared to other companies as well. Well below avg pay rate especially for the amount of data entry placed on the coder.
