      Colleagues usually share the same goal of good patient care.

      Cons

      Not always safe during the pandemic. Physicians working with a skeleton crew at times. PPE not always available. Below industry pay.

      Pros

      UW Health in general is a great company to work for. They offer decent pay, good benefits, and were ranked among the top employers for working mothers.

      Cons

      Unfortunately, my supervisor was not a mother and she was not understanding when my children were sick. I had no control over the fact that my children came down with pneumonia, croup, pink eye, and a stomach bug, all in one school year. Because of this, she rated me poorly during my employee review, saying that I was “not compassionate” by missing work. I think it’s the other way around lady...you’re not compassionate for not understanding that I have no choice than to take off when my children were sick. She insisted that I should leave my children with their elderly grandparents, when they were sick with pneumonia! Really?!!
